CREW DC closed out the 2009 monthly luncheon program on a positive note. Becky Shambaugh of Shambaugh Leadership addressed members and guests and highlighted effective ways for women to lead with resilience during challenging times. Becky discussed the importance of building relationships, with integrity, reciprocity and authenticity to as a way to become better leaders. She encouraged attendees to be self-reflective and identify values, then define them on both personal and professional levels. She discussed the importance of focusing on core goals, versus checking items off of a list and identifying your intrinsic motivations and core signature strengths, as a way to ensure you are spending you are using your time wisely; both in your personal life and your professional life. Becky closed her motivating remarks by reminding the audience to take care of ourselves so that we can be resilient leaders.
