On Wednesday, October 27, top real estate professionals from the healthcare industry shared their views and perspectives about the effect of the recently passed healthcare reform bill on the local DC real estate market. The luncheon of the DC Chapter of CREW held at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington DC started off with Chapter President, Kathryn Ciliberti’s welcoming remarks and an update on the National CREW Convention that will take place next year in the Washington DC area.

The panelists gave their insight on the recent changes to the commercial lending, retail and leasing markets.  The speakers also offered their unique perspectives on what Healthcare Reform means to their companies and profession as well as the changes consumers can expect. The focus primarily remained on future development plans that will incorporate these primary functions: location, access, technology, safety/security, 24/7 operations, privacy and efficiency of operations.

The panel then fielded some questions from the audience which included some colorful comments and opinions. A hot topic for sure and most definitely for the future!
