With another end to a wonderful summer, optimism was in the air
at the Welcome Back Luncheon for the DC Chapter of CREW at the
Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington DC.
Kathryn Ciliberti, CREW DC Chapter President, began the luncheon
by welcoming back returning and new members. After which, she
introduced the 2010-2011 Board of Directors. Huong Van, Co-Chair
of the Community Action Committee, gave an update on the community
service plans and initiatives for the next chapter year.
Panel Moderator Kathy Delcoco introduced the three esteemed panelists:
Kate Carr (President of Cardinal Bank), Kathy Roberson (President
of Combined Properties) and Donna Shafer (Executive Vice President
of CityLine Partners). Each gave her insight on the current state
of the commercial lending, retail and leasing markets. The speakers
also offered their unique perspectives on the differences between
baby boomers, generation X and gen Y; and how each group strives
to achieve the always topical work-life balance. The luncheon
concluded with excitement in the air of a new and exciting year
ahead for the DC Chapter of CREW.
